CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Clinton woman has been charged with TennCare fraud after allegedly paying for a fraudulent prescription with TennCare benefits.
The Tennessee Office of the Inspector General says Stephanie L. Stringer, 30, posed as a nurse practitioner when she reportedly called-in a fake prescription for the painkiller Hydrocodone.
TennCare fraud is a Class E felony, and String could spend as much as two years in prison if she's convicted.
