KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A former Tennessee Vol football player is charged with two counts of simple drug possession after police say they found drugs in his car Wednesday night.

Cameron Mayo, 22, also faces one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say they found marijuana, oxycodone, and a plastic pipe used for snorting crushed pills, inside a baggie in his car on Forest Avenue.

He's set to be arraigned Friday.

Mayo graduated from UT, and was a backup center on the team.
