SWEETWATER, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Sweetwater High School employee who oversees students on in-school suspension has been arrested and charged with statutory rape and sexual battery after allegedly having sex with a SHS student and inappropriately touching and kissing another.

Cedrick Holmes, 31, is accused of having sex with an underage female Sweetwater High School student in Loudon County. The high school is in Monroe County.

Holmes is also accused of inappropriately touching and kissing another female Sweetwater High School student under the age of 16 about 10 times starting in mid-March. The Sweetwater Police Department says it happened at the high school.

After investigations by two departments, Holmes has been charged with aggravated statutory rape in Loudon County and sexual battery by an authority figure in Monroe County.

This is inexcusable...how can someone with an authority figure use his power to take advantage of young students/females. I bet if you check his track record, there's probably more...pure sorry.

Now go figure! How did someone of this calibur even get a job with the Loudon County school system to begin with?! Apparently the screenings of job applicants for Loudon County needs some restructure!
