CLINTON, Tenn. (AP) -- The wife of an Anderson County deputy has died after the motorcycle her husband was driving crashed into a van that turned in front of them.
Twenty-two-year-old Crystal May, of Heiskell, died at the University of Tennessee Medical Center shortly after being flown there by medical helicopter on Thursday.
Her husband, 29-year-old Jason May, was injured in the collision in Clinton and was taken by ambulance to UT Medical Center. He was in guarded condition Friday.
Clinton police say the two were traveling on a motorcycle when a van turned in front of them. The driver of that vehicle, 57-year-old Sin B. Lam, of Clinton, was not injured.
Police say charges are pending.
