Man holds suspected drunken driver in East Tennessee school yard
Police in Athens say a man detained a suspected drunken driver in a school yard before the suspect was given his eighth DUI charge.

ATHENS, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Athens say a man detained a suspected drunken driver in a school yard before the suspect was given his eighth DUI charge.
Officers said Randall Dewayne Hyde, 41, restrained the suspect Monday outside North City School by holding him against a truck until police arrived.
James Wesley Liner, 46, of Athens was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. This is the eighth time Liner has been charged with DUI in McMinn County since 1982, records show.
One car was sideswiped before Liner was arrested. No one was hurt.
