WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville, Tenn. man was arrested Tuesday at a restaurant in Williamsburg, Ky. as part of what the Kentucky Attorney General calls a "cybersafety predator sting."
Billiy Williams, 48, traveled from Knoxville to Williamsburg to meet what he thought was a 12-year-old girl, according to a release from Attorney General Jack Conway.
Officials say, instead of a 12-year-old girl, WIlliams had been communicating online with a someone from Perverted Justice.
He has been charged with unlawful transaction with a minor in the first degree, according to information released by the Attorney General. The charge is a Class C felony. If convicted, Williams could spend between five and 10 years in prison.
Williams is being held in the Whitley Co., Ky Detention Center.
