One arrested, one hurt in West Knoxville robbery, stabbing Save Email Print

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- One man is in custody, another man hospitalized after a stabbing near the Microtel on South Peters Road in West Knoxville.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday evening.

According to reports from the scene, the John Craft was walking back from the Kroger when he was attacked, robbed, and stabbed in the upper extremities.

Officials found the suspect, Ricky Mantooth, 50, about ten minutes later in the woods behind the nearby Mircotel hotel.

The Craft's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

I'm so glad this happened out west to show that crime can happen anywhere, including the beautiful west knox county!!!! HA!
