NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gov. Phil Bredesen says he'll be campaigning for Barack Obama in Ohio on Thursday and Friday.

Bredesen said the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's campaign called and asked if he would talk to voters on Obama's behalf leading up to the Democratic National Convention beginning Monday in Denver.

Bredesen, a Democrat who didn't endorse Obama until after he appeared to clinch the Democratic nomination, said he doesn't know yet where in Ohio he'll be campaigning.

Bredesen said earlier this month he's not being considered as Obama's running mate, despite previous speculation in the media that he may have been under consideration.
