BRICEVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Drug investigators discovered 138 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $207,000 growing inside and around a Briceville home, according to an Anderson County Sheriff's Department release.

Deputies say officers executed a search warrant on Dutch Lane when they found the plants growing inside a garage and outside the home.

Deputies say the resident wasn't home, but another person who was there was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant.

Luke Aaron Cox, 26, or 161 Dutch Lane, is being held without bond.

The investigation continues.

If I had a dollar for every drug user that has ever used that line (People don't smoke and go on killing sprees or wreck their cars like people drinking and driving) to defend their drug use I would be a rich women. The bottom line is...IT "IS" ILLEGAL! I am glad Paul White is doing so much to get drugs off our streets.

Fact is the negative statistics of "pot" are backed by no scientific evidence. It is no more harmful than cigarets and alchohol. This is the land of the free and if people want to use it for medical or recreational that is their right. People don't smoke and go on killing sprees or wreck their cars like people drinking and driving. The government is trying to control everyones life and that is not what the good ole USA is about.

The last time I heard Pot was still illegal. I am glad to know that it has been found and that is that much that won't be on our streets. The law is the law...just because some people don't like to follow it doesn't mean it should be okay. Thank you Anderson County Sherriff's Department, keep up the good work. And yes those are real criminals whether they were you dealers, brothers, your daddy or your cousins, they are CRIMINALS!

you say it's just pot, but it isn't just pot when the children in our community are smoking. I'd say they did go after some real criminals. Good for them.

$1500 a plant street value? I call complete BS. I guess they were 20ft tall and looked like pine trees? I bet all those outrageous numbers they come up with look real good when added up and submitted for funding or to flash in front of the public.

It is just pot, why not go catch some real criminals.
