KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police are searching for the man who robbed the Wendy's on Broadway in North Knoxville.

Knoxville Police Lieutenant Greg Hoskins says a white man walked into the restaurant just before 5:30 and brandished a handgun.

The bandit hit the same Wendy's where a night shift manager was shot during a previous late night robbery.

Lt. Hoskins says the suspect took money from the register before getting away on foot in the direction of Edgewood Park.

The suspect is described as a tall, very thin, white man. He was wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, a black hat, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information should call police.

I can't go an enjoy a hamburger anymore without the fear of getting shot. I thought I would switch over to fish, partly for health reasons, and their robbing those places right and left. I was even considering going back to school but I quickly changed my mind on that. I even was headed to church to pray about it and something told me I'd better go back home where I felt safe. I was considering a short vacation to Myrtle Beach. That was until I read their newspaper. It sounds like a shooting gallery there too. Maybe I should marry a female police officer. That might make me feel safe.

God, the crime rate seems to have no end lately, I'm personally waiting for one of these guys to rob Joe Schmo's store and he's blast their heads away.
