KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The man accused of robbing the Long John Silver's restaurant on South Calderwood High in Aloca Monday was arrested in Powell, according to an Alcoa Police Department release.
Alcoa Police detectives, Knox County Sheriff's deputies, and members of the Knox County SWAT Team arrested Dennis W. Ross, 34, as he was walking on a highway near his Campground Way home in Powell, according to APD.
Aloca Police say a tip generated by restaurant surveillance video released to the media led to Ross' arrest.
According to the release, "Ross has a lengthy history of thefts, bad checks and driving offenses."
Police are looking into the possibility that Ross may be connected to robberies at other Long John Silver restaurants in the Knoxville are, and investigators say they're looking into the possibility that Ross had an accomplice.
