FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) -- Gov. Phil Bredesen is trying to make a civics lesson out of the Democratic convention in Denver.
Bredesen, a Democrat, presided over Internet conference calls with high school and middle school students in Tennessee on Wednesday.
A sixth-grader at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin asked Bredesen what he expects from the next president. The governor responded that among many challenges will be to find a way to end the war in Iraq honorably.
One student from Central High School in Memphis asked Bredesen to hug Hillary Clinton for her.
