Souteastern Kentucky soldier killed in Iraq Save Email Print

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WVLT) -- A 25-year-old soldier from Kentucky was killed in Iraq Wednesday, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

The DOD says, Sgt. David K. Cooper, 25, of Williamsburg, Ky. was died from "wounds suffered in Qadasiyah, Iraq, when his dismounted patrol came under small arms fire."

Sgt. Cooper served in the Forward Support Company, 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas.
