Smoke, not fire forces Knox Co. school bus evacuation
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Emergency crews responded to a report of a school bus fire on Campbell Station Road near Destiny Ridge Way, but when they arrived, they discovered that there were no flames, only smoke from an engine problem. Posted: 3:21 PM Nov 17, 2008 |

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Emergency crews responded to a report of a school bus fire on Campbell Station Road near Destiny Ridge Way, but when they arrived, they discovered that there were no flames, only smoke from an engine problem.
It happened on bus No. 216, and all of the students on board were offloaded and put onto another bus to be taken home.
No one was injured.
