My son and I was attending church service at Dumplin Baptist Church here in New Market last night when all of a sunden we hear a some sounds thats when the pastor had said that it sounded like santa was landing on the roof of the church. we got home that evening to find out from my parents that we had just had a earth quake. they said the house had shook. i was surprised to hear that we had felt the effect of an earth quake.

We live so close to the train tracks, our house rumbles quite frequently. It's interesting to know that the epicenter was that close, but we honestly didn't notice anything. I don't know if we are close enough to have felt it, but if we did we just assumed it was a train passing through.

Here in Kodak it lasted about 6 to 10 seconds, there was loud rumbles such as that of thunder and the house shook just a little bit. Not bad at all, nothing worse then if a bad storm had come through.

We live in Seymour, off Zion Hill Road and we felt the earthquake here. First the ground started to rumble/move and then the house shook/moved. I told my husband that we just had an earthquake.
