Head-on collision claims life of Knoxville man

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Christmas Day car crash has claimed the life of one.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the two vehicle collision on Chapman Highway, near Hendrons Chapel Road.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Andrew M. Kaiser, 25, of Knoxville was driving southbound on US Highway 441 when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.
Kaiser collided head on with Ralph E. Whaley, 76, and Mary L.H. Whaley, 72, both of Seymour.
Both were injured, the extent of those injuries is unknown.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Kaiser was not wearing a seat belt.
The incident is under investigation.
