KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville man has died in a freak accident in Fountain City.
Sergeant Tom Fox with the Knoxville Police Department says a tree crashed on top of a pick up truck cab.
David E. Bunch, 62, his son, and a third person were trimming the tree around 3:30 Saturday afternoon in the back yard of a home at 4401 Fullton Drive.
The men were using a 1971 Ford pick up truck to help the tree fall where they wanted, instead allowing it to fall naturally.
The tree however fell atop the truck, as Bunch was in the drivers seat, crushing him inside.
