KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Knoxville Police say two juveniles waved a gun at a young woman, stole her purse and car, backed it up -- and got stuck on some railroad tracks.
Police Sgt. Tim Snodderly told The Knoxville News Sentinel the 15- and 17-year-old boys ran when they couldn't free the car, but were arrested a block away early Wednesday.
The victim's purse and car and the handgun used to steal them were recovered. She wasn't injured in the crime.
The youths are charged in Juvenile Court with carjacking, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent felony and violation of the curfew law.
