KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville Police officer rolled up onto a scene where a gold Mercury Mystique had apparently rammed into a storage building at the G & C TV business at the corner of Broadway St. and Cecil Ave. in North Knoxville Saturday.

Police say there was no driver present when the officer arrived on the scene.

The vehicle damaged a fence, the storage building and some merchanides, police say.

The driver of the vehicle would likely face hit-and-run charges, but police say the property damage is a civil issue.

Police were able to identify the car's owner using the license plate number, but it's not clear if that's who was behind the wheel.

Officer say they believe the vehicle was headed west on Cecil Ave. and was turning left onto Broadway St. when the crash occured.

It's not what caused the crahs or if anyone was hurt.
