KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- University of Tennessee Vol football defensive back Brent Vinson was questioned by Knoxville Police Wednesday as a potential witness to a shooting at a South Knoxville apartment complex Tuesday night, according to Knoxville Police spokesman Darrell DeBusk.
DeBusk says Vinson was being questions only as a witness, and not as a suspect.
Charles Corn, 23, was shot multiple times at the Woodlands Apartments complex on Spruce Ridge Way around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the handgun used in the shooting was left at the scene.
Police are looking for two suspects. One is a white man in his early- to mid-20s who is clean shaven. The second suspect is a clean shaven black man, also in his early- to mid-20s.

I AM SICK OF THE ATTENTION GIVEN TO THE UT BALL PLAYERS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN THE SHOOTING OF CHARLES A. CORN. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT NOT ONE REPORT HAS MENTIONED THAT THE VICTIM CHARLES A. CORN WAS A SENIOR AT UT AND THAT THE 23 YEAR OLD IS A SON, BROTHER, GRANDSON AND FRIEND TO EVERYONE THAT HAS EVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE MET HIM. I JUST HOPE THAT ALL THE REPORTERS WILL PLEASE GIVE THE SAME ATTENTION TO THE UT BALL PLAYERS WHEN THEY ARE CONVICTED OF MURDER. MY HEART IS SAID THAT THE MOTHER AND FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE GRIEVING AND HEART BROKEN FROM THEIR LOSS AND THE MEDIA IS SO FOCUSED ON HOW MANY POINTS THE BALL PLAYERS SCORED; WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SHOOTING .
why is it that UT program has fallen to NEW LOWS every year??? first the repeated problems under Fulmer, now they are robbing and shooting!!!! its obvious they are recruiting the wrong players in TN. Id rather loose the entire team then to have this halo over the university. its very bad indeed and rgardless if Ramar is on the team or not this is very bad because of the repeated history of the Athletics at UT.
