KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three Knox County commissioners have now publicly stated they think law director Bill Lockett should resign.
According to Knox News, commissioners Finbarr Saunders, Mike Hammond and Mark Harmon all stated today county Law Director Bill Lockett should resign after confessing he took money from clients.
Lockett says he took the money in 2005 that was meant for the law firm where he worked.
He says the money helped him pay his son's medical bills.
Lockett worked for the Knoxville firm,Kennerly, Montgomery and Finley, for 21 years before he was elected Law Director in 2008.
Auditors discovered thousands of dollars missing earlier this year.
Commissioners say the matter is between Lockett and the firm.
He claims to be in the process of paying it back.

This is not between Lockett and the firm. Had this not come out he would never consider repaying the money. Other people are in the same situation as Lockett. The trouble is they have more ethics and class than to stoop to his level. Can the crook!!
