POLICE: Woman stabs daughter's boyfriend in self-defense
Knoxville Police responded to a report of a stabbing shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday night.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police responded to a report of a stabbing shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday night.
The call came from 2914 Browning Avenue in West Knoxville.
Caroline Chesney, 50, has told officers that her daughters boyfriend, Sidney Salaam, 46, was drunk and tried to attack both Caroline, and her sister, Marie, 47.
Police say Chesney stabbed Salaam in self defense.
Salaam was taken to Fort Sanders emergency room, and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
He's now charged with 2 counts of simple assault.

Caroline's daughter's boyfriend was drunk and attacked Caroline and her sister Marie. Caroline is 50 years old; Marie is 47; the DAUGHTER's "boy"friend is 46. Question: Does Caroline provide appropriate guidance to her daughter regarding social relationships?
