Female in custody after overnight stabbing
Knoxville police have a suspect in custody in connection with an overnight stabbing in East Knoxville.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knoxville police have a suspect in custody in connection with an overnight stabbing in East Knoxville.
Police responded to the 1100 block of West New Street in the Austin Homes community just before 1:30 Friday morning.
When police arrived on the scene they found a 37 year old man with two stab wounds to the abdomen. He was transported to UT Medical Center for treatment. His name and condition have not been released at this time.
Police say he was allegedly stabbed by a 37 year old woman.
Officials say the stabbing stems from an earlier fight between two juveniles related to the suspect and the victim.
