Nashville (AP) -- The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development used a nice photo to promote mountain biking. It was of Alaska.

That shot looked very familiar to Alaskan biking enthusiast Tim Woody, who saw it in the magazine outside and used it as a screensaver on his computer for a while. He reported Tennessee's use of it on his internet blog.

State tourism official Jennifer Spence says it's true. The state bought the stock photo for its campaign.

Spence that's because the concept for the ad campaign wasn't approved until after the leaves had fallen in Tennessee, making for less picturesque scenes.

Most of the other photos in the campaign were taken in Tennessee.
