------
ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A deadly, single car wreck shut down lanes in both directions on Interstate 40 through Roane County.

Dispatchers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol say only one person was in the car, and that person died.

There's no word on what caused the vehicle that was traveling westbound to crash.

Only one lane is open in both directions.

It happened near the 356 mile marker and traffic is said to be backed up to 359.

A wrecker is on the way and the mess is expected to be cleaned up quickly.
