KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Two men were injured in an early morning tractor trailer accident in East Knox County.
Knoxville police responded to I-40 East near the Midway Road exit 402 just after 4:30 Tuesday morning.
The driver 41-year-old Jeffery Bode told police he fell asleep and veered off the roadway, then awoke and over-corrected causing the load of produce in the back to shift and cause the tractor trailer to overturn.
41-year-old Daniel Estep was asleep in the back of the tractor trailer. He and Bode were both transported to U.T. Medical Center with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
