KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- At age 13, Chris Isbill was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a bone cancer.

Less than a year later, he was diagnosed with Leukemia and given a 10% chance of survival.

But, after a bone marrow transplant, Chris is cancer free.

The Student Government Association at Hardin Valley Academy renovated Chris's room.

The screams of high school girls greeted Chris Isbill as he entered his brand new dream room.

Complete with new furniture, new linens, new bed, new shelves, X-box, Wii, some new games, a plasma flat screen and a whole shelf of sour candy, Chris's favorite.

Chris Isbill says, "I didn't think it was going to be this great at all! They did a wonderful job"

A wonderful job all for Chris who has battled two forms of cancer.

So to give Chris a peaceful place to live, the girls transformed his room for a student government project.

Student Government Association representative Xrista Christopolous says, "It feels good just to give back. He's gone through so much and we're able to give him a little extra."

They went above and beyond by repainting the hallway to his room, and a Hardin Valley student spray painted Chris's name on the wall.

Isbill says, "Oh I love it. The tv's my favorite. I love the wall. It's awesome."

Awesome because Christopher has spent so much time lately bound to a hospital bed.

Scott Branch says, "When Christopher found out he had cancer and part of him was lost today helped him have the motivation to keep on going."

But today, the girls lined the street to greet Chris as he returned home to see his new digs.

And Chris's mom was overjoyed by the generosity.

Mom Mitzi Branch says, "To see him engulfed by peers was amazing. He was king for a day. He was king for a day."

I'm so proud of all the SGA students at Hardin Valley Academy, and how they have given back to such a deserving young man. Go Chris and Go Hawks!

The boy who did the graffiti was great. His name was michael. Oh and just to clarify, there were about 5 boys there yesterday, me being one of them. lol. It was the most amazing thing I've ever been a part of. Chris had such a wonderful attitude and outlook. He loved everything and he was so greatfull. I really want to thank all of Hardin Valley's SGA though. Everyone did a wonderful job of representing our school and working together for Chris. The whole time we were there, there was never a single argument. I'm just so proud and I want to say thank you.
