MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Pinching people who weren't wearing green on St. Patrick's Day has earned two Memphis middle schoolers suspensions.
The Commercial Appeal reported two students at White Station Middle School were reprimanded by suspending them for two days after they pinched two seventh-grade boys and left marks on them.
Memphis City Schools spokesman Quinton Taylor said the pinchers violated a school policy by taking part in activity that harmed other students.

Now this is just plain ridiculous! When things at schools get so bad that you start suspending students for something as petty as pinching another one, then I think that school policies need to re-examined and/or use a little bit of common sense in the situation and maybe just tell the students that this kind of behavior is not wanted here and not to do it again instead of suspending them! That's ridiculous! Next thing you know, students will be getting suspended for breathing on another!
