KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville topped the list of Most Romantic Cities in the U.S., according to Amazon.com. The city has been shooting up the company's annual list in recent years, soaring fourteen spots last year to the runner-up spot and knocking Alexandria, Va., from the top slot this year.
The online retail giant produces its list by compiling the sales of romance novels and relationship books, romantic comedies, and Barry White albums, as well as sexual wellness products since the New Year.
The totals are then ranked on a per capita basis of cities over 100,000.
Miami finished atop the sexual wellness category, earning it the top spot in the sexual wellness category.
New York City was named least romantic city by Amazon, followed by Winston-Salem, NC., Patterson, NJ., and El Monte, Calif.
