SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sevier County fire crews are battling a large cabin fire in a Sevierville resort community.

Flames erupted from the cabin near Rainbow Road and Ridge Road just before 3:00 p.m. A large column of smoke could be seen towering over the area from as far away as the Volunteer TV Wonder Works camera.

Reports from the scene indicate the cabin is a total loss and county arson investigators have been called in to launch an investigation.

The fire looked to be mostly under control by 3:45 p.m.
