KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities believe the four year-old boy found walking along Strawberry Plains Pike early Wednesday morning unlocked a sliding glass door and wandered away from his home.
Gregory Faulkner was driving a truck when he spotted the boy walking near the intersection of Wooddale Church Road shortly before 2:00 a.m. He took the youngster, who authorities identified as Kobe Besemann, to a nearby Ryder Trucks location and called 911.
About five hours after finding the boy, a relative saw him on the news and contacted authorities. From there, reports said, police tracked down where Kobe was staying overnight with a relative of the listed custodian.
Department of Children Services has been contacted and is investigating.
