KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT)--Phil Chaney began the Living Christmas Tree production in 1989.
He died last week after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He was 52.
The Living Christmas Tree is a biblical drama and song performed by the church choir.
Almost 700,000 people have seen the performances.
