KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- After vanishing nearly seven years ago, Pamela Knight's remains were found, wrapped up in a blanket, in Loudon County last month.
On Saturday, we sat down with her son to talk about life without his mom and who he thinks might have taken her away from him and his brothers.
Phillip Clabough says, "it's been hard not only on me but the rest of my family and my friends who have been there throughout the whole time she's been missing
The last time Clabough saw his mom, he was only 11.
Clabough says "she was outgoing, she was always there for us three. She would have not left us."
Police say 35-year-old Pamela Knight left her Knoxville home with her estranged husband, Paul, in October 2005.
Her family never saw her... or heard from her again.... her family knew something wasn't right.
They suspected Paul Knight-- who's locked up in Louisiana-- had everything to do with it.
Clabough says, "he's a convicted felon. Charges throughout different states and counties. He's just a bad person."
Seven years later, two men found the remains of a woman in Loudon.
Clabough knew there was a good chance it could have been his mom.
Clabough says, "they said it was a small female figure and that's what my mom was."
He tells us they want to give his mom the proper funeral and memorial for her.
And then, one last thing...
Clabough says "and the person who did it to her.. that he goes down."
The Loudon County Sheriff's office and Knoxville Police are working together on the case.
Any one with any information can call the Sheriff's Office.
