PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (AP) -- City officials in the Smoky Mountain resort town Pigeon Forge have decided for now against using a contractor to provide an answering service for tourism inquiries.
According to The Mountain Press, a contractor was unable to arrange the service after more than five months of trying (http://bit.ly/sL90F6). The work was to include answering the phones after hours and recording information from callers.
