ATLANTA (AP) -- Atlanta Dream forward Chamique Holdsclaw has undergone surgery on her right knee.

The team said Thursday's arthroscopic surgery for the seven-time WNBA All-Star was a success. Holdsclaw, who missed the last two games with a sore knee, is listed as day-to-day.

The 32-year-old Holdsclaw did not make the trip to Detroit for Thursday night's game. The Dream are trying to make the playoffs after a woeful inaugural season. Atlanta is currently second in the Eastern Conference with seven games remaining.

The 6-foot-2 Holdsclaw, who retired from the WNBA in 2007, had knee surgery about nine months ago after playing in Poland.

Holdsclaw, the Dream's leading scorer, has started 25 games and is averaging 13.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
