Webb's Ward signs with Tennessee
The All-American swimmer won the 100-yard butterfly at the 2009 Tennessee State Swimming and Diving Championships.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Alex Ward continues to make a splash.
The Webb swimmer signed Tuesday afternoon with the University of Tennessee swimming and diving team.
"I'm just really psyched to get it over with," Ward told reporters after a signing ceremony at the school.
"I'm really excited to be staying home and close to my family. It definitely means alot to be swimming for UT. It's a big D1 program. It's a growing program, so it will definitely get better within the years."
Ward is an All-American in the pool. He won the 100-yard butterfly at the 2009 Tennessee State Swimming and Diving Championships.
He was also considering Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and Princeton.
