There’s a new team in town.

The News Sentinel and WVLT-TV announced today the creation of a new PrepXtra partnership.

PrepXtra is the name sports fans have come to recognize for providing the most complete coverage of high school athletics in East Tennessee. Sixty-four schools make up to PrepXtra area. Game coverage, features, photos, all-star teams, awards banquets are all a part of the PrepXtra menu. Also included is PrepXtra.com, which provides the latest news on line, video clips and a massive statistical database.

PrepXtra also has a new title sponsor. Pilot Corporation, a strong promoter of high school sports in East Tennessee for years, has joined the team.

“We have long been committed to providing the best coverage of high school sports in East Tennessee,” News Sentinel publisher Bruce Hartmann said. “By joining with WVLT and Pilot we expect our coverage to only get better.”
