OAK RIDGE (WVLT) -- Scott Blade may be new to Oak Ridge, but he's no stranger to winning football.
The former Hillsboro coach ended a 37-5 three-year run in Nashville by ending Maryville's nation-long 74-game win streak with a 10-7 win in the 4A state championship game.
Now Blade will get to play Maryville again. He's Oak Ridge's new coach.
Blade told the Sports Overtime team Thursday that he's excited about taking over one of the state's most tradition-rich programs. The Wildcats have won seven state titles, tied for fifth in Tennessee history.
