Webb wanted it, they got it.

The Lady Spartans beat Ensworth Saturday night 50-39 to win the Division II Class AA state championship. A year ago in the title game, Webb fell to the Tigers 50-48.

Faith Dupree led Webb with 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. The Lady Vol signee was named the tournament's most valuable player. Jessica Goswitz added 15 for the Lady Spartans.

This is the Lady Spartans second girls' basketball championship. Webb also took home the trophy in 2007.

Webb finishes the year with a stout 29-3 record.

Adding to the evening for Webb was an individual honor. Faith Dupree was named Miss Basketball for her classification. She edged out teammate Jessica Goswitz and Enworth's Marie Carpenter for the honor. Dupree will play for the Lady Vols next season.
