Powell girls fall at state
Hillsboro just too much for the Lady Panthers, wins 65-45.

Murfreesboro, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Powell girls fell to Hillsboro Thursday afternoon 65-45, ending their stay in the TSSAA state tournament.
The Lady Panthers (22-10) led 26-24 at the half, but the Burros outscored Powell 27-9 in the third quarter to take control.
Powell was led by Brittany Allen's 25 points. She connected on 4 of six three pointers. Allen was the only Powell player to score more than four points.
Hillsboro (31-1) was paced by Lakeisha Crouch. She had a sensational game, scoring 29 points and hauling down 22 rebounds.
The offensive glass really hurt the Lady Panthers, as they were outrebounded in that department 23 to 8. The Burros had 25 second chance points, compared to just four for Powell.
