Anderson County's Larry Kerr retiring
Kerr has been with the Mavericks since 1993; coached Halls to the 1986 Class AAA state championship.

Clinton, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Anderson County Mavericks are saying goodbye to a local coaching staple. The Sports Overtime team has learned that head coach Larry Kerr is retiring.
Kerr has been coaching the Mavericks since 1993. Prior to that position, Kerr was at Halls--where he coached the Red Devils to the 1986 Class AAA state championship.
According to our sports partners at prepxtra.com, Kerr informed the Mavs' football team of his decision today. PrepXtra also reports that the retirement will become official after March 28th, after the team's banquet.
