Grace Christian falls in state tournament

Murfreesboro, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Grace Christian saw its season come to an end today in the first round of the TSSAA Class A state tournament.

The Rams (27-7) lost to Chattanooga Grace Baptist Academy 77-58.

The Golden Eagles (27-5) shot 52 percent from the field, while the Rams struggled with their shooting--hitting 35.7% of their shots.

Grace Christian was led by Ryan Slusher's 18 points. He was the only Ram to reach double figures. Chattanooga Grace got 25 and 20 points from Patrick Shaughnessy and Terrell Church respectively.

The Rams trailed by just six points at the half, 42-36, but were outscored 27-16 in the final quarter.
