Murfreesboro (WVLT-TV), Like the CAK Warriors, the Farragut Admirals have done it again. It was the Admirals taking on Brentwood Academy for the Class AAA state soccer title. The Bruins, where were the defending state champs, defeated Farragut rival Bearden to advance to the title game. Admirals coach Wallie Culbreth actually told our media partners, The Knoxville News Sentinel, that they would come out and avenge Bearden's loss to the Bruins and there were able to do just that, playing strong defense and getting just enough offense to blank Brentwood 2-0 in the title game. The state soccer championship is the 5th in program history and the first since 2007 for the Admirals who close out another terrific season at 23-2-2.
