State title games moved to Cookeville
The TSSAA Board of Control has decided to move the football championship games from Murfreesboro to Tennessee Tech University.

(WVLT) -- Tennessee's high school football championship games will be played in Cookeville for the next two years.
Tennessee Tech's football field will replace MTSU as the site of the Blue Cross Bowl, which has been held in Murfreesboro since 2000.
Cookeville's bid included $250,000 per year in guaranteed money plus 35 hotel rooms and all ticket money.
Chattanooga offered $241,000 plus 80 hotel rooms.
Murfreesboro bid the minumum $231,000 plus 32 rooms.
