Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Farragut High School baseball coach Tommy Pharr has taken over the same duties at Christian Academy of Knoxville.

CAK confirmed the move in a statement released early Tuesday evening. Pharr replaces Kent Matthews.

Pharr heads to CAK with some impressive credentials. In twelve seasons at Farragut, he coached the Admirals to five Class AAA state titles, three second place finishes, and in 2005 he was named the National Coach of the Year.

According to the CAK release, the Warriors "complete a multi-year search for a TSSAA-eligible head baseball coach."

In addition to the position of head baseball coach, Pharr will also serve CAK as the assistant athletic director and athletic field maintenance director.

Sports Overtime's voicemail messages left on Pharr's voicemail were not returned.
