(C.A.K.) -- Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) is pleased to name Kely Braswell as High School Cross Country Coach for the 2009-2010 season. Coach Braswell has been CAK’s Middle School Coach for three years and has made a tremendous impact both in cross country and track. Braswell will now take over the High School program and oversee the development of runners at both the middle and high school levels.

Coach Braswell is a runner himself, participating in the programs at Little Elm High School in Little Elem, Texas and at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Braswell currently trains with Runner’s Market Racing. In addition to his passion for athletics, he is dedicated to his church, Antioch Community Church in Knoxville, where he serves as Head Pastor.

Braswell replaces Cindy Giles, who stepped down after 12 successful years to allow a coach with renewed passion lead the program. CAK High School teacher Jessica Pinson will serve as Coach Braswell’s assistant and head up the Middle School Cross Country program.
