(WVLT) -- After weeks of whistles and windsprints, high school football is finally upon us. Some of the state's best week zero matchups are right here in East Tennessee.

The Farragut Admirals host Dobyns Bennett in what is arguably the most appealing interdistrict showdown of football's first week. The Admirals are ready to make a state title push after falling in the state quarterfinals last year. They begin their quest Friday night against upper East Tennessee's premier football tradition.

Fulton vs. Morristown West
Austin-East vs. Morristown East
Alcoa vs. Bell County (KY)
Grainger vs. Gibbs
West vs. Sullivan South
