FARRAGUT (WVLT) -- De'Andre Purty ran, Reese Browning threw, and Lee Van Dyne did it all to spur Farragut to a 20-12 win over Catholic Thursday in the district opener for both teams.
The Fighting Irish controlled the pace of play during the first quarter of the Rivalry Thursday matchup. Dorian Cozart scored on a 1-yard run to open the scoring late in the first quarter.
But Purty scored twice on the ground and ran for 160 yards, fueling a Farragut comeback. The win propels the Admirals to 3-0, while Catholic drops to 1-1.
