CORRYTON (WVLT) -- In a night marred by delays and postponements due to inclimate weather, Gibbs and Carter managed to finish their game.

And for the Eagles, that was a good thing.

Andy Hibbett scored an early touchdown and Gibbs held on for a 20-7 win, boosting their playoff chances against a traditional rival.

The rain took its toll on the quality of the game; sloppy play characterized the action. Gibbs quarterback Chris Legg ran the ball deep inside Carter territory early in the first quarter to set up Hibbett's touchdown plunge.

CLINTON 29, POWELL 12
The Dragons rolled to a 16-6 halftime lead and expanded it in the second half, thanks to solid play from quarterback Darian Stone. Weston Hazelhurst added a touchdown to cement the victory.
