(UNDATED) -- A rules violation is the only thing that's been able to slow down the Clinton Dragons football team.

The TSSAA has ruled that Clinton used an ineligible player in the Dragons' week 0 win over Halls, that according to WVLT's sports partners at PrepXtra.com.

The Dragons now must vacate that win, meaning their record is now 8-0, rather than 9-0.

Ryan Sharpe was the ineligible player. The Halls' game was the only one he appeared in for Clinton, as he soon enrolled at Jefferson County High School.
